GTC Prepares for the 2010 JAMBOREE

The process of forming contingent troops for the 2010 National Jamboree is underway.  The Great Trail Council will send two troops to the Jamboree, each made up of 4 Adult Leaders and 36 Scouts.

The first step is to select the adult leadership. The Jamboree committee would like to invite qualified adults to apply for the Leadership Positions of the two contingent troops.   Adult Applications are DUE by October 10th, and Leader selection will be completed by January, 2009.  See the Leadership links below.

The next step is to encourage our Scouts to sign up!  Only 72 youth positions are available.  Youth interested in attending should go to www.bsajamboree.org  and follow the directions to register.   Your registration information will go through the National website, then it will be sent to our Council.  These openings should fill quickly, so do  not delay!

The Great Trail Council wants to make the 100^th anniversary National Jamboree the best event ever, and to do that, We Need YOU!
