Prepares for the 2013 JAMBOREE
The council is forming two contingent troops and a venture crew to attend this once-in-a-lifetime event. The Jamboree will be held July 15 - July 24, 2013 at a new home: The Bechtel Summit, located on the New River Gorge in West Virginia! Scouts who attend will be the very first to see and play in the newest BSA High Adventure Base! Go Big, go wild, and go first - go to the 2013 National Jamboree!
Requirements: Scouts must be at least a First Class Scout
and completed the sixth grade or be at least 12 years of age by July 1, 2013, but not have
reached their 18th birthday by July 24, 2013. Ventures must be current crew members,
have a current BSA membership with a Venturing crew, graduated the 8th grade or be at
least 14 years of age by the first day of the jamboree, but have not reached their 21st
birthday by the last day of the jamboree. All participants must participate
in pre-Jamboree training experiences; file a complete Personal Health and
Medical Record prior to the pre-Jamboree training; have been active in a
troop or team for at least six months prior to July 1, 2012; and be
approved by the unit leader and local council. See more at:or check us out at!

login (you will need your BSA ID number to create your account).

be accepted first-come, first served. Adult leaders and National Staff
applicants are currently being interviewed.
Financial Details: The total cost for participants is set at $1300. The
fee will include ALL transportation, meals and lodging en route to and from the
Jamboree, special patches, patrol and troop equipment, a Jamboree training weekend, and
sight-seeing adventures.
