Unit Swim Test Procedures 2012
Those units that meet the following prerequisites may participate in this program:
1. Access to a swimming pool or swimming lake prior to their arrival at Camp Manatoc.
2. Have a Test Administrator CURRENTLY CERTIFIED with one of the following:
- Aquatics Instructor, BSA
- Cub Scout Aquatics Supervisor, BSA
- BSA Lifeguard
- American Red Cress Certified Lifeguard
- Aquatics Supervision:Swimming and Water Rescue
3. Attend the Test Administrator Meeting on January 25, 2012 at Copley High School, beginning at 7:30pm (more below)
4. Review, understand, and agree to the procedures outlined in the Test Administrator Packet
5. Provide the Great Trail Council with a copy of their certification at the Jan 25th meeting.
Swim Test Administrator Meeting
January 25, 2012 - 7:30pm - Copley High School - $4.00
Those qualified individuals who wish to provide Swim Tests for units, will need to attend this meeting. We will review the proper method for administering the test, and its methodology. Please bring with you a copy of your certifications of training noted above, for our files and a copy of the Test Administrator Packet, and $4.00 cash (the fee is for use of the High School Lap Swim Time). The meeting should last about 90 minutes and all participants should being a bathing suit and towel, and be prepared to swim the test.
