Ohio Army National Guard - Post 2125

Welcome to the Explorer Military Cadet Program. Please take a minute or two to find out more and what is about. First of all, there is no real Military commitment. You cannot be called up for service, or required to attend Basic Training. What is it all about? At the meetings, or Drills, you will be taught many different things, all relating to Military Life. For instance, some of them are: General Orders/Military Time, Chain of Command, Code of Conduct, Officer & Enlisted Insignia Rank, First Aid, Land Navigation/Orienteering, Wear & Appearance of the Uniform, U.S. Weapons, Bivouacking, Camouflage, Physical Fitness, Patrolling, and Tactical Skills. In addition to all of these courses, other things will also be attended to, such as Camp Perry Marksmanship training, Ravenna Arsenal Field Exercises, Rappelling & Confidence courses, Survival Classes and many more interesting and exciting events. By participating in this program, Cadets prepare themselves, if they desire to do so, to enter the regular Armed Forces or the National Guard, through a real military experience. Drills and Weekends are run just like the real thing, and all training is taught by experienced members of the Ohio Army National Guard. Sound Interesting? Call SFC Dave Adams, Akron, Ohio 920-7961 or recruiter Robert Ahlers at 330.882.9391 or email at Ahlers66@aol.com
