29th Annual Celebration of Scouting Gala

The Great Trail Council, Boy Scouts of America proudly announces our 29^th Annual Celebration of Scouting Gala, to be held on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at the Hilton Akron/ Fairlawn. We will be honoring Ohio Secretary of State, Frank LaRose, Jr., Eagle Scout – 1997, and long-time supporter of Scouting.

This Celebration Auction is made possible only with the support of generous individuals, local businesses and corporations donating valuable products, services and experiences. Your generosity is vital to the success of our Gala, which keeps Scouting Strong throughout Greater Akron and the Mahoning Valley.

Your support makes a difference. All funds raised from our Celebration of Scouting Gala directly support the character-driven programs of the Great Trail Council, Boy Scouts of America. The Scouting experience positively impacts over 10,000 Scouting families locally.

Your donation and support will be publicized to more than 300 guests representing more than five-county regions. Guests will not only see your contribution recognized in the event program, but will be encouraged to patronize your organization.

As the situation surrounding our public health crisis continues to evolve, the Great Trail Council’s highest priority remains the health and safety of our Scouts, volunteers, donors, community partners and staff. We continue to closely monitor the developing situation each day. Scouting is standing strong during these uncertain times. We will continue to evaluate if the best experience for our Celebration of Scouting Gala translates to a virtual option as we get closer to the event.
