Silver Beaver Colony Number One, Akron, Ohio is an organization composed of all Scourers who have received the Silver Beaver Award from the Great Trail Council (formerly Akron Area Council, Boy Scouts of America, and all Scourers who have received the Silver Beaver Award from other councils but now reside in the Great Trail Council. 

The purposes for which this organization exists are:

1. To render whatever service may be designated by the Scout Executive or by the President of Great Trail Council;

2. To work quietly and unostentatiously within Great Trail Council;

3. To afford opportunity for fellowship among the members of the organization;

4. To hold a regularly scheduled meeting to be arranged by the president of this organization, at a convenient time following the Annual Recognition Dinner of Great Trail Council. At the meeting so arranged, the recent recipients of the award of the Silver Beaver shall be introduced to the organization;

5. To hold an annual meeting of the organization, during each summer, at Camp Manatoc, at a time to be arranged by the president of chis organization;

6. To elect, at the annual meeting, a president, a vice-president, and a secretary/treasurer who shall be elected to serve until the next annual meeting following their election or until their successors are elected. The duties of the officers shall be those which are customarily assigned to such officers;

It is not contemplated that any dues shall be levied on the members.

This statement of purposes may be amended by a majority vote of the members present at any annual meeting of this organization.
